Samsung Raises the Game with The New Galaxy Note 20 to Rival iPhone 12 and Pixel 5

While other notable phone manufacturers are trimming prices amidst the pandemic, Samsung seems to be raising the bar even higher. In February alone, the Korean electronics company debuted three high-flying flagship phones each of which fell within the price range of $999 to $1,399. This is actually quite unexpected since other major competitors in the tech industry are cutting down prices on gadgets; such as Apple’s 5G iPhone 12 possibly maintaining the same price tag of $849 as its 4G predecessor – iPhone 11

In the same light, Google is deemed to be producing its latest version of the Pixel flagship – Pixel 5, with even cheaper processors to effect a price reduction lower than $700. Microsoft on the other hand is expected to slash a whopping 25% off of the Surface Earbuds, same as Apple’s AirPods prices and Pixel 4 getting a $50 price reduction. Evidently, these are only a handful of the ripple effects that the COVID-19 outbreak brings to the tech space, subsequently, the global economy.

In spite of the economic downturn that has forced most tech companies to rethink their launch price – and possibly postpone the launch dates, Samsung seems to be taking even bolder steps. How the Asian gadget-making company is responding to the current market slide is actually mind-boggling. Considering that the company is set to launch its Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20 Plus at a very exorbitant price compared to what other competitors in the market are selling for.

This is hardly surprising since Samsung has taken greater steps to upscale, which is evident in the new features present in the Galaxy Note 20 series – such as a backplane LTPO OLED display tech and the rumored 4300mAh battery size, while others are running short on manufacturing supplies and production deliveries. Based on historical data and given the current situation, we should expect the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series to be priced well above $1000. However, the big question here is; will consumers be willing to part ways with such amount of cash for a phone that promises an extensive battery life in juxtaposition to much cheaper rivals, with less durable battery life?

Chinese Technology Company, Huawei recently released its Mate 30 Pro smartphone as the World’s 1st flagship powered by the Kirin 990 SoC with built-in 5G alongside a 7nm+ EUV technology. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro comes in six different colors (vegan leather orange, vegan leather forest-green, cosmic-purple, space-silver, emerald-green and black) fully equipped with a quad-camera compartment and a waterfall screen display.

The Huawei Pro Mate was officially announced on Thursday at an event in Munich, Germany alongside the Huawei Mate 30 model. During the exhibition, Richard Yu – CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group highlights that the new Huawei Mate 30 Pro ships with a Google-less Android Operating System and its own AppGallery. He went on to state that;

“We cannot use the Google Mobile Services core, we can use the Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) core.”

The Mate 30 Pro model operates on a 1.86GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin processor and an 8G RAM. Hence it fraughts with a camera compartment of 40 MP ultra-wide cine super-sensors and a 3D depth-sensing camera at the rear. In addition to a screen resolution of 1176 x 2400 pixels with an 18.4:9 aspect ratio that supports DCI-P3 HDR standard. As well as a 6.53-inch full HD+ flex OLED ‘horizon‘ screen display.

Also, the ultra-curved design provides a wider scope for volume adjustment with the absence of the volume buttons. While improving quad-finger gaming control due to this 88-degrees curvature and increased side-touch interaction. The Mate 30 Pro battery specification maintains the company’s patented 40W SuperCharge technology including a 27W wireless charging to boot. Plus an upgrade on the reverse wireless charging feature to up to three times the normal speed.

Furthermore, Huawei debuts the Mate 30 Pro as the first in its smartphone series to be launched with the EMUI 10, a reserved open-source Android environment which is a close semblance to Google’s Android 10.

With the exception of Google’s Android Operating system together with all other Google services and apps such as Google Maps, Google Chrome and particularly the Google Play Store. This comes as a result of the ban placed upon Huawei that forestalls the Chinese Telecom Equipment providers from engaging with U.S. companies without the approval of the U.S government.

Even though critics anticipate this move to pose an increased customer dissatisfaction since Huawei debuts this new flagship device without Google’s services. Having that the only option to download apps is from Huawei’s native mobile app distribution platform – The Huawei AppGallery which boasts of about 45,000 apps in juxtaposition to the 2.7 million apps on Google PlayStore.

Yet, the second largest smartphone brand worldwide and the biggest maker of switching gear remains optimistic about this approach. Subsequently, Huawei plans to spend over $1 billion on its app distribution channel as an incentive to attract more developers, consequently increasing the number of apps on the AppGallery. Elaborating further, the company strongly believes that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro has more than what it takes to thrive even without the backings of Google’s vast services.

Apple To Launch it’s ‘Pro’ iPhone, Refurbished iPad ‘Pro’ and 16” MacBook ‘Pro’ This Summer.

Over the years Apple has been at the forefront of spearheading the most neoteric innovations in both the PC and Smartphone spheres. Introducing such products as iPhone, iPad, Mac, iPod, Apple Watch, Apple TV, AirPods and HomePod into the tech industry.

And having that its contemporary designs are focused mainly on more advanced features relating to performance, speed, battery life, handling, accessibility, machine learning, and AI technology. Over the span of a few years and contrary to popular belief, the company presently designs new products every year. Instead of the conventional two years gap.

Been that the Apple enterprise is regarded as one of the Big Four tech companies together with Amazon, Google, and Facebook. As such, It has always thrived to maintain that spot.

And since the death of its Co-founder and CEO in 2011, Apple has struggled to keep its head above waters. Battling such issues related to design, release dates and public relations in recent times. All You Need To Know About Samsung's 12GB LPDDR5 RAM With 5G

Getting yourself a 5G smartphone with an AI feature is one of the coolest things, now that technology is advancing. For a smartphone to be highly recognized in this modern world, it mostly depends on features like memory.

Now that Samsung has started mass production of its first 12 Gb LPDDR5 RAM smartphone which is touched to have a 5G and an AI features.

Samsung is set to bring 12GB RAM for smartphones using new development which they have already started mass production. There are speculations that the 12GB RAM could be a part of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 which is yet to be disclosed.

Now that Samsung has started mass production of their 12Gb LPDDR5 RAM. Below is what you need to know and expect from their new technology.

Due to Samsung advancement in technology, Samsung’s new smartphones with Dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) can improve this generation and the next generation flagship with fully leverage AI features and 5G capabilities such as machine learning and ultra-high-definition video recording with high extending battery life.

The smartphone will consume a data rate of 5500 Mb/s with approximately 1.3 times faster than that of the LPDDRRX which is 4266 Mb/s and can be found in today’s modern smartphones.

The 12Gb LPDDR5 RAM will be able to transfer 44GB of data per second, that is, you can watch 12 full HD movies provided your internet connection is very good.

The new 12Gb LPDDR5 RAM chip will use less than 30% of its power compared to it the previous ones they did. In addition to the new circuit designed to enhance low power, clocking and training features that ensures that performance is stable even when working at a very high speed.

To manage these mass productions with flexibility. Next year, Samsung technology will start transferring their 12Gb LPDDR5 into mobile DRAM base on 10nm-class, 5500Mb/s production into Pyeongtaek in Korea campus which will depend on global demand by most Samsung customers.

After the introduction of the 12Gb LPDDR5 mobile DRAM, it’s expected of Samsung to develop a 16Gb LPDDR5 in 2020 next year to outrun their competitive edge in the global market in terms of memory.

The rumored iPhone 5G could be the real deal in 2020

Many people were anticipating the release of an iPhone 5G this year. However, reports suggest that the trailblazer will be launched in 2020.  Based on stories and information from Apple, the 2020 iPhone 5G could be the real deal. The phone supposedly can make a significant modification in its internal architectural design and for the first time, may take 5nm chips as the Cupertino firm improves its iOS platform.

The benefits of the 5nm for Apple is quite obvious, primarily as the phone screens get bigger which makes the phone more energy-consuming therefore decreasing the feeding of energy is a key objective of the new smartphone. Simultaneously, as many now prefer slimmer phones, the room for a big battery size may get smaller.

Not much is being said about what Apple could incorporate into its 2020 models. Although reports on how the 5G will be possible are saying that, the company will make use of an Intel 10-nanometer 8161 modem, with an 8060 acting as a testbed. On the other hand, the company might include the use of MediaTek to reach these speeds.

The device is also said to incorporate more advance reality features as a recent report suggests that the company will add a depth sensor, which will be similar to the one in front used for face recognition and to know from the back the distance from objects.

Furthermore, Apple might go to a higher level from the previous reserved slight bezel around its phone edges to a much more improved feature in the 2020 iPhone 5G. The 2020 iPhone 5G is anticipated to have the Qi wireless charging for starters, just as seen from the introduction of the iPhone 8, 8+ and X in 2017 as well as the XS, XR and XS Max also had the feature.

The up and coming age of smartphones is probably not going to come cheap. While it seems unclear the pricing method of the 2020 iPhone 5G by Apple, yet, the high-value price of $1,099  the company placed on the iPhone XS Max suggest it the 2020 phone could cost so much higher.

5 Best Smartphones To Look Out For In 2019

Many people say 2019 was a great year for smartphones, on the other hand, some people don’t share the same opinion. The question is, will 2019 be much better? Well, upon what’s coming, that might be possible. Let’s take a look at the best 5 smartphones set to launch in 2019.

OnePlus 7

Image via Expert Reviews

Leaks are quick to come out with teasers of the OnePlus phones before its official release scheduled as we already have a fair idea about the next OnePlus phone, which is the OnePlus 7. According to rumors the OnePlus 7 will have a 5G mobile internet (although some it is not the phone with the 5G-ready device OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has promised, as that’s going to be another release entirely) and may use a pop-up front camera to free up even more screen space.

We are anticipating an incredible experience with the OnePlus as it is set to be launched in spring.  OnePlus 7 is likely to be priced at $300 more than the previous OnePlus phone’.

Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus

image via gizchina

The Galaxy S10 it will set the tone for Samsung’s 2019 phones as it is set to launch in March. According to analysts, the Galaxy F might be the future of smartphones phones one day, but until then the Galaxy S10 and S10 plus will be the phones to beat. However, rumors have it that Samsung 10th generation flagships have three to choose from this year.

Stories also have it that, there could even be 5G connectivity. Samsung S10 and S10 plus are said to have rear cameras as well as Snapdragon 855 power and in-display fingerprint sensors, and it is also supposed to be the two most expensive models. We hope all rumors are true as Samsung debut the S10 on February 20 at their event in San Francisco.

iPhone 11 and 11 Max

Image via designmycase.co.uk

iPhone lovers are expecting a fantastic thing from iPhone 11 as the iPhone XS, and XS Max were significant upgrades. Apple likes to surprise their customer as they keep things covered until probably September.  The leaks and renders going around seems too good to be true, but if the iPhone 11 indeed includes a pop-up camera module, a TouchBar display on its side and an iPad Pro-like stylus, then we are in for a thriller.

Ming-Chi Kuo who is an analyst stated that the future phones may still have the dual-camera lens setup and probably ditch 3D Touch. According to him, that will keep the price down. Reports have it that Apple could grab advanced 3D cameras from Sony to obtain gesture control in games, sophisticated room scanning capability and more.

Sony Xperia XZ4

Image Via @OnLeaks-@MySmartPrice

Sony announced to launch its Sony Xperia XZ4 in March as the company still felt far behind its competitors in 2018. The company is determined to overcome every struggle in staying as an essential brand in the phone industry. However, Sony was not bad last year with an OLED screen and a price far less expensive than some of its competition, in the Sony Xperia XZ3.

The Sony Xperia XZ4 is said to be bold with its screen tech again, and use a 21:9 aspect display without a notch making the phone debatably the most “cinematic” phone to date, as it is close to the 2.39:1 anamorphic standard.

LG G8 ThinQ

Image Via Wccftech

LG’s G7 ThinQ was a good smartphone and was very solid, but it lacked some extraordinary features. Therefore, everyone is anticipating the G8 ThinQ to be the flagship that will turn-heads and standout. The LG G7 ThinQ had an ultra-wide rear camera which was good, but recently several phones have both a zoom and a wide camera.

Is entirely unclear what the G8 ThinQ which is supposed to be launched in May has or is but a Korean report suggest a foldable phone, others also believe it has a double screen where the second screen is attached to the phone. The render shows a more conventional approach, though that version could incorporate a Sound on Display feature that removes a visible earpiece from the phone’s display.

Update on the superb foldable 2019 Motorola Razr

The 2019 Motorola Razr foldable phone according to the leaked phone design will be one competitor for many phone brands especially for Samsung who has to release Samsung Galaxy X very soon. Explicitly, Motorola has affirmed the foldable phone in the making and from clear official images, which is yet the best look on the beautiful smartphone, this could be the future phone of Motorola we await.

If you follow smartphone development news, then you may by chance be aware that this story about Motorola Razr started back in 2016 and had many anticipate a next-generation Razr. However, the story continued when in the early stage of 2018, CEO of Lenovo who is also the owner of Motorola, Yang Yuanqing made mention that the company is planning on reviving the Razr design. It was further revealed that there was a patent gathered in line for a foldable phone by the company, and also leaks of the phone.

A year after, we now have a real look and recent development at what Motorola was preparing which is the fascinating 2019 Motorola Razr. S. Sheth, a designer, created a beautiful render from the official images from the company showing angles of the Motorola Razr folding phone with the opened screen also shown.

The Wall Street Journal; recently confirmed that the phone could debut this month. Many people are also expecting to see the phone at the MWC 2019. This year might see a lot of foldable phones such as LG Bendi and the Xiaomi’s Flex, but 2019 Motorola Razr is the foldable phone you should look out for this year.

Samsung to unveil a foldable phone at the launch of the unpacked event on February 20 in San Francisco

Plans have solidified as it seems so likely that Samsung may use the unpacked event set on February 20 to unveil its first foldable phone.  This phone might be called the Galaxy X, Galaxy Fold or perhaps Galaxy F. The Wall Street Journal states that the company will release a fully functional foldable phone. This might help Samsung step ahead of its competitors such as Huawei who also in February will disclose its foldable phone at the Mobile World Congress, but only if the report is right.

Samsung has much showjumping on the Galaxy S10 whether or not the foldable phones arrive, however, looking at the rumors going around and the facts presented, the company might well bring the excitement to reality.

There have been a regular flow of leaks and rendered plus a rumor of an amount that differences of the phone hole-punch camera. Samsung is also set to display a 5G prototype phone capable networking the next-generation cellular network as CES speculated. Leaks again show a fascinating Snapdragon 855 chipset which will power Samsung’s next Galaxy series and propose a speedy performance that beat its previous series.

Furthermore, analysts and leakers have illustrated a Galaxy S10 jam-packed with exceptional features, such as an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, Face ID and an Infinity-O display. Also, supposedly, Galaxy S10 is to come in three configurations that are, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, Galaxy S10 Lite.

I hope all these facts and rumors precise and live to its expectations, as the company could use that to make headlines and take the top of the smartphone ladder. But, if this doesn’t happen then the path ahead could get even tougher as the Galaxy S9, and S9 Plus had quite bad sales due to quite slow sales for all phone brands last year.

The company declared that the foldable phone together with all their future phones would make use of the recently unveiled the new One UI interface, which is design to cleans up the current Samsung Experience and attempts to set icons in one group for a convince use.

This design is configured to work with Google’s 9th version mobile software and Android Pie but not previous versions of Android.

Smartphone cameras have become favorites for many people as it gets better with the introduction of new technologies and upgrades. It is therefore not shocking the camera market has greatly decreased with unstable sales in recent times. However, smartphone cameras lack one crucial feature that is usually found in cameras which is the optical zoom.

As taking technology advances, 2019 could see smartphones have such modification as reports show that Samsung has almost finalized talks with the Israeli company, Corephotonics to buy the company this year. Corephotonics is a company that specializes in optical designs and news buzzing around indicates that there might be a 25x optical zoom in the pipeline.

Looking back to 2012’s Galaxy Camera, trailed by the 2014 continuation, neither of which appeared well and made sense – yet it’s in the Samsung’s Galaxy phones that the company has genuinely begun to succeed. For instance, Galaxy S9 plus has an excellent camera unit. Admittedly, the company has a long history with cameras and phones, together with different attempts to merge the two into one.

Phone companies normally digitalize zoom in their phones which is in the form of just cropping into the image to provide a zoom impression. But then, the digitalized zoom is limited with how it works as it is quite impossible to resolve distant detail without an optical resolution. Some companies have tried in a small way to solve this issues example is the 3x zoom in the Huawei P20 Pro, which is currently seen as the best solution.

It appears a lot more is yet to come. Recently, Oppo mentioned that they are working on a 5x optical zoom module, with a 10x zoom projected after. One uncertain thing is whether Oppo is getting these optical designs from Corephotonics or not. Nevertheless, if Samsung which is one of the largest and most respected phone brands in the world, can step ahead of Oppo with a 25x optical zoom module then that would make the headlines and set the company top of its competitors. Also, Samsung can use that feature to beat the camera market in general.

We all await the outcomes of the deal and its possibility regarding what it really for your future handset as there have been no verifications on the reports yet. In any case, it will be so great to see a 25x optical zoom for the next Galaxy phone.
